A bed transfer handle sits between the mattress and the bed base, with a padded handle beside the bed. It gives the user something firm to hold while turning, sitting up and standing.\n\nIt may suit someone who pushes against soft mattresses or pulls on furniture when getting out of bed.\n\nImportant limitations: it must be fitted correctly to a suitable bed frame and mattress, and it is not designed for someone who needs to be lifted. It does not replace a full bed rail where there is a risk of falling out of bed.
