Bath Transfer Bench

A transfer bench sits partly outside and partly inside the bath. The user sits on the outer section, then slides across the seat and lifts their legs over the bath edge one at a time, rather than stepping over it while standing.\n\nIt may be useful for someone who finds stepping over a bath rim unsafe but who can still move sideways along a seat. It is often used for showering over a bath.\n\nImportant limitations: the bath must be able to take the inner legs securely and the bathroom needs enough floor space beside the bath. A shower curtain arrangement is usually needed to control splashing.
